Dépourvues d'anse, elles disposent de deux poignées opposées obtenues grâce à des échancrures ménagées sous le bord du panier. On les porte généralement à deux. À l’origine, elles étaient toujours réalisées en vannerie (osier ou rotin). Aujourd’hui, on en fabrique aussi en treillis de fil métallique galvanisé.
